Bobby Brooks, a distinguished figure in the music industry, boasts over 45 years of unparalleled expertise as an audio engineer, record producer, estate asset curator, educator, writer, and consultant. His illustrious career spans decades of groundbreaking work with iconic artists and across renowned studios worldwide.
Experience:
Since 1985, Bobby has served as the Owner, Chief Engineer, and Producer at The Gallery Studios in Sherman Oaks, California, a premier private recording haven catering to elite artists and producers. His client roster reads like a who’s who of music legends including Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, and Prince, among countless others.
Prior to establishing The Gallery Studios, Bobby honed his craft at Wonderland Studios from 1980 to 2024, where he personally engineered for Stevie Wonder and collaborated with various top-tier producers. His earlier career included pivotal roles at Motown’s Hittsville Studios and Universal Recording Corp, solidifying his reputation as a masterful recording engineer.
Curatorship:
Bobby also serves as a curator for the estates of Rick James and Teena Marie, overseeing the preservation and dissemination of their musical legacies. His meticulous supervision of analogue tape archiving has ensured these treasures are digitally preserved for future generations.

Bobby’s journey began at Herbert Henry Dow High School, followed by technical training at Devry Tech in 1976, laying the groundwork for his stellar career in audio engineering.
